Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper, East Sac, SCC, CRB, Glidden Ralston, and IKM-Manning Boys Golf in Action Monday

Boys Golf Results for Monday, April 11th

 

Kuemper at Webster City at Briggs Woods

 

The Kuemper Knights had a very competitive day on the course with Webster City Monday, coming within six strokes of winning the meet as a team. Webster City ended up winning with a team score of 163 compared to Kuemper’s score of 169. Kuemper had solid performances from all of their golfers. Maverick Schwabe was named the runner up medalist of the meet, shooting a team best 40 on the course. Dawson Billmeier, Kayden Schon, Tyler Auen, and Cater Putney were all within one stroke of each other, with scores of 42, 43, 44, and 45 respectively. Benicio Lujano rounded out the golfers for Kuemper with a score of 51 on the day. The Knights are in action next when they travel to compete in the Spencer Invite along with Carroll on Monday, April 18th.

South Central Calhoun, Emmetsburg, SE Valley at GTRA

 

South Central Calhoun competed well at GTRA Monday with a runner up medalist honor and a third-place finish. The Titans had a team score of 189 with Emmetsburg winning the event with a team score of 161. 

Justin Hanks had the best day among his teammates as he ended up as runner up medalist with a score of 38. Nik Whipkey and Delane Rubendall both had solid days on the course with scores in the mid to high 40s. Whipkey scored a 45 and Rubendall scored a 48 on the day. Kadynn Issacs rounded out the team scoring for South Central Calhoun, as he ended his day with an individual score of 58. The Titans have a quick turnaround as they travel to Lakeside for a meet on Tuesday, April 12th.

Coon Rapids Bayard, Glidden Ralston, CAM Anita, Exira-EHK, and Woodbine at Boyer Valley

 

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston both traveled to Boyer Valley to compete against familiar Rolling Valley Conference foes on Monday. The Crusaders and Wildcats finished close to each other in the team standings, with Coon Rapids Bayard finishing with a score of 196 and Glidden Ralston finishing with 208. Boyer Valley stood atop the rest with a best team score of 165. 

Toby Benninger was competitive on the course and was the best among our area golfers at this meet. He ended his day with a score of 42. Preston McAlister and Trey Rosenbeck scored closely with each other with McAlister scoring 48 and Rosenbeck scoring 49. Jacob Estrada rounded out the scoring for Coon Rapids Bayard with a score of 56. 

Caden Wenck and John Whitver of Glidden Ralston both ended the day with the same team best score of 50. Caden Smith and Tyler Brant had a similar idea as they both had a score of 54 on the course, completing the scoring for the Wildcats. 

Coon Rapids Bayard are back in action on Thursday, April 14th when they travel to take on Des Moines Christian. Glidden Ralston will compete with another round of Rolling Valley Conference opponents when they travel to Crestwood Hills on Monday, April 18th.

Tri-Center at IKM-Manning

 

IKM-Manning had a close bout with Tri-Center on Monday, walking away with individual medalist honors and some solid performances. Tri-Center took home the win as a team with a score of 193, while IKM-Manning was only eight strokes off with a team score of 201.

Despite the team loss, Max Nielsen had an impressive day on the course, ending with medalist honors with a score of 45. Josh Walker kept good pace with Nielsen as he ended his day with a score of 48. Nolan Ramsey ended his day in the low 50s as he scored 52. Luke Ramsey was the last golfer to add to the team score as his day came to a close with an individual score of 56. IKM-Manning has a 10-day break from action as they will return on Friday, April 22nd by traveling to take on AHSTW.

East Sac, Manson NW Webster, Storm Lake St. Mary’s and Alta Aurelia at Lake Creek Country Club

 

East Sac brought two of their golfers to the Lake Creek Country Club for their first meet of the 2022 season against Manson NW Webster, Storm Lake St. Mary’s, and Alta Aurelia Monday. Due to their limited number of golfers, they did not have a team score. Storm Lake St. Mary’s were crowned the winner of the meet with a team score of 186. Brayden Burns did the best among the two golfers, scoring a 53 on the course. Carter Hogrefe ended his day with a score of 58. The Raiders are in action next on Thursday, April 14th as they travel to West Bend Mallard.
