Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper and East Sac Boys Soccer Teams Fall in Matches Monday

Boys Soccer Results for Monday, April 11th

 

Kuemper at Harlan

The Kuemper Knights kept the Harlan Cyclones close in the first half but couldn’t stop Harlan from scoring more in the second half and ultimately coming away with the game Monday. 

The Knights were able to keep the Cyclones to a tight game in the first half, allowing two goals and getting down 2-0 heading into the second half. DJ Vonnahme tried to get a rally going in the second half as he got a pass from Tommy Fitzsimmons to score for Kuemper. Harlan responded with three more goals in the second half and didn’t look back as they ultimately won 5-1. Kuemper Head Coach Ken Massey said his guys learned a lot from this game and got better through the entirety of the game. Jace Pruitt was also solid in the goalie position, recording 13 saves. The Knights fall to 0-2 on the season. They have a quick turnaround as they travel to take on Atlantic on Tuesday, April 11th.

West Central Valley at East Sac

The East Sac Raiders continued to find their groove as they fell to the West Central Valley Wildcats on Monday at home. The Wildcats got out in front in the first half by a score of 4-0. East Sac kept focused and didn’t allow West Central Valley to end the game early in the second half. The Wildcats were able to net three more goals in the second half to escape with a 7-0 win over the Raiders. East Sac Head Coach Sam Ellis says his guys are much improved from last year and are moving the ball better. Nick Crabb was a workhorse in this game, putting up 19 saves in total. Max Doepke and Sam Schmitt both had one shot on goal. The Raiders will play host to LoMa on Thursday, April 14th.
