Carroll improved to 2-0 on the season, winning both the medalist and runner-up medalist honors on their way to a seven stroke win. The Tigers were consistent through their top five golfers with only 4 strokes separating the top score from their fifth score. That helped in their team win, with Ballard having their top four scores shoot in the 50’s but their top score was 53.

Carroll finished the round with four pars with three of them coming on hole 4. Erin Winker, Ashlee Danner and Olivia Boes all shot par on hole 4. Winker added a par on the par 5 third hole. Ashlee Danner earned the Medalist honor, shooting a 51. Erin Winker was Runner-Up Medalist with a 52. Makalei Kofron added a 53 and Delaney Schurke shot a 54.

The Tigers and Bondurant Farrar head to Winterset on Thursday.

East Sac At Alta-Aurelia 

East Sac finished 4th at the quad in Alta-Aurelia on Monday, shooting a team total of 250. Kendall Quirk shot a team low 55 and was the lone Raider in the 50’s. Sidney Bieret nearly reached the 50’s, finishing with a 61, Emily Hansen added a 65 and Lexi Thomsen had the final score, for their team score with a 69. Alta-Aurelia won the meet on their home course with a 213. They had all five golfers in the 50’s with Shae Lockin, earning runner-up medalist honors with a 50. Maddie Fiorendino of Storm Lake St Mary’s was the Medalist with a 48.

South Central Calhoun At Emmetsburg 

South Central Calhoun opened their season finishing in 4th place at the quad at Emmetsburg. The Titans shot a 292, falling to GTRA for 3rd place by two strokes. SE Valley edged the host school for the championship with a 236, Emmetsburg ended with a 237.

Mia Babcock shot really well for South Central Calhoun, finishing with a 59. She was the only Titan to shoot under 60. Lauren Korkow shot a 73, Sam Stuart added a 74 and Charissa Nowatzke was the fourth Titan scorer with a 86. Babcok finished 5th overall, Korkow was 14th and Stuart was 15th.

The Titans head to SE Valley on Tuesday.

Kylie Powers was dominant again for the Wolves, helping them pick up a win at home. Powers won Medalist honors with a 38, followed by her teammate Maeve Nielsen who was Runner-Up Medalist with a 54. IKM-Manning won the meet by 39 strokes, finishing with three of their four golfers in the 50’s or below. Megan Williams added a 59 and Eryn Ramsey finished with a 66. Tri Center was led by Morgan Lockman with a 56 and the rest of their golfers in the 60’s.

Powers shot a 3 on hole 2, adding a 4 on six of her other holes. She shot a 5 and 6 on holes 4 and 7 respectively.

The Wolves host Boyer Valley and Denison Schleswig on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Shadow Valley 

The Crusaders finished 2nd as them and Boyer Valley were the only two teams with a full allotment of players for team scores. The Crusaders shot a 217 while Boyer Valley finished with a 197. Glidden Ralston had two golfers participate with both shooting well. The Crusaders were led by Emma Hart who shot a 46 while Morgan Hart and Brynn Bass each finished in the 50’s. Addie Boell led the Wildcats with a 49.

Emma Hart was Runner-Up Medalist with her 46, falling just short of Maci Miller of Boyer Valley who earned Medalist honors with a 44. Addie Boell was 3rd overall for the Wildcats with her 49. Morgan Hart finished with a 53, Brynn Basa a 56 and Macy Winnett shot a 62 for Coon Rapids Bayard. Elizabeth Lloyd wrapped up the Wildcats scores with a 55.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston are off the rest of this week.
