Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: CRB, IKM-Manning, and Audubon Boys Golf Compete in Tournaments Saturday

Boys Golf Results for Saturday, April 9th

Coon Rapids Bayard at IKM-Manning Tournament

Coon Rapids Bayard, along with various other area schools, traveled to the M&M Golf Course for the IKM-Manning Tournament Saturday, where the Crusaders and Wolves both had good days on the course. The Crusaders finished up the tournament as a team with a score of 191, good for third place, while the Wolves finished in fifth place with a team score of 210. 

Max Nielsen of IKM-Manning shot the best among our local golfers at the tournament, capturing third place as an individual with a score of 41. Nolan Ramsey, Davyn Sander, and Andan Spooner all shot in the low to high 50s, with scores of 53, 57, and 59 respectively. Josh Walker and Luke Ramsey rounded out the golfers for IKM-Manning, with them ending the day with a score of 60 and 62 respectively. 

For Coon Rapids Bayard, Jacob Estrada had a solid day as he was in the hunt for a top five placement, scoring a 43 and being one stroke behind Devin Melby of Boyer Valley, who finished in fifth place individually. Toby Benninger and Preston McAlister both had solid days as well, contributing well to the Crusaders’ team score. Benninger had a score of 46 while McAlister finished up the tournament with a score of 49. Trey Rosenbeck was just a few strokes behind McAlister as he ended the day with a score of 53. Elia Esdohr rounded out the Crusaders with a final score of 64 in the tournament. 

The Crusaders next meet will be on Monday, April 11th as they travel to Boyer Valley. Meanwhile, IKM-Manning will remain at home as they take on Tri-Center on Thursday, April 14th.

Audubon at CAM Anita

The Audubon Wheelers traveled to CAM Anita for their first tournament of the 2022 season. The Wheelers took 6th place as a team with a score of 371. Jay Remsburg shot the best out of the Wheelers’ golfers with a score of 89, ranking 14th among all the individuals at the tournament. Gavin Smith and Evan Alt both shot in the lower 90s with scores of 91 and 93 respectively. Derek Bald and Carson Maike were close with each other at the end of the tournament, scoring 98 and 102 respectively. The Wheelers will travel to Missouri Valley on Thursday, April 21st.
