Wrestling Results for Tuesday, January 18th
South Central Calhoun, ACGC, and Woodward Granger at Baxter
The South Central Calhoun Titans continued to look sharp as they took on ACGC, Woodward Granger, and Baxter, winning all three matches in convincing fashion Tuesday. The Titans went 8-3 in matches wrestled against ACGC, 6-3 against Baxter, and 7-5 against Woodward Granger, for a 21-11 overall record on the day.
Kevin King, Blake McAlister, and Jayden Soard completed dominant days, wrestling against all three teams and winning all three matches. King in the 160-pound weight class won via major decision, tech fall, and fall, McAlister at 170 and 183 pounds won all his matches via fall, and Soard at 220 pounds won two of his matches via fall and one by major decision. Zachary Trott, Kolin Folsom, Chance Rowder, and Naylan Gulbranson had similar days, going undefeated, minus they all had a forfeit win on their record. In matches wrestled, all four wrestlers won via fall, with Gulbranson being the most impressive, winning both his matches at 170 and 182 pounds at 1:18 and 0:26. Trott competed at 138 pounds and 145 while Roeder was in the 195-pound weight class. Brock Nattress gave South Central Calhoun two solid wins via fall at 0:33 and 2:38 at 132 pounds, while losing one match via major decision. Kaden Dorman rounded out the wins for the Titans, going 1-1 in matches wrestled with a win via fall at 0:40 and losing via fall.
The Titans, along with Audubon, Carroll, and East Sac, will be in action on Friday, January 21st when they will compete in the Herb Irgrens OA-BCIG Tournament.

Audubon at Underwood
The Audubon Wheelers had some tough competition in Treynor and Underwood Tuesday night as they were able to come away with six individual match wins. As a team, the Wheelers went 6-12 in their matches wrestled.
All of Audubon’s six wins came from five different individuals, all via fall. Cooper Nielsen got his win against Aiden Kennedy of Treynor via fall at 1:21. Jack Stanerson also picked up his lone win of the meet against Treynor with a fall victory at 3:22. Keegan Deist’s win came against Kayden Fleek of Underwood where he won via fall at 0:59. Lane Barber was able to pin Emmett Dofner of Underwood at the 2:11 mark of the match. Against Woodbine, Colin Hartl grabbed his lone win while Deist picked up win number two on the day. Hartl grabbed his win against Thomas Tremel via fall at 0:36 and Deist’s second victory also came via fall against Colton Walsh of Woodbine at 1:05.
The Wheelers will be in action along with other local teams, including Carroll, South Central Calhoun, and East Sac at the Herb Irgrens OABCIG tournament on Friday, January 21st.
