Ogden 40
It was the Paige Klocke show during Glidden Ralston’s road game against Ogden as she helped the Wildcats come back from a 10-point deficit to win it on a last second shot from Vanessa Koehler.
The Wildcats started off well enough against the Bulldogs as they got out to a 12-9 lead after the first quarter concluded. Ogden started to pull away in the second quarter as they grabbed their first lead of the contest late in the second quarter. In the final minute of the first half, the Bulldogs were able to sink a buzzer beater to take their first lead of the game at 20-17 going into halftime. Paige Klocke had another big scoring night for the Wildcats, and her best performance came in the third quarter.
The Bulldogs expanded upon that buzzer beating shot by getting up by as much as 10 points to start the third quarter. Klocke had other plans as she’d bring the Wildcats back into the game by scoring eight straight points to cut down the Bulldog lead to 28-26 going into the fourth quarter. Another hard-fought quarter between both teams occurred in the fourth, and it all came down to a final second shot. Vanessa Koehler grabbed an inbound pass with 1.8 second left in the game and was able to sink an eight-footer to seal it for Glidden Ralston as the Wildcats escaped with the 42-40 victory over Ogden. Klocke’s performance in this game netted her a double-double with 30 points and 16 rebounds all together. Tiela Janssen also had a nice game with five points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Koehler ended with four points, rebounds, and assists, and three steals.
