The Spartans got seven straight free throws from Quinn Grubbs down the stretch, maintaining their lead at 3. They inbounded it to Grubbs who sealed the deal with a pair of free throws with .2 seconds left.

Aleah Hermansen knocked down a three early to tie the game, which was a prelude to the game as Hermansen and Sienna Albertsen kept the Wheelers close most of the game combining to hit nine-threes. Aleah Hermansen found Sienna Albertsen for a three to make it 15-9 and then Hermansen had a steal and layup to pull the Wheelers within 4. That allowed Jaci Christensen who was double and tripled teamed in the  post to get going in the 2nd half. Christensen had four points at half but scored early in the 3rd to cut the Spartans lead to 28-23. Hermansen followed that with back-to-back buckets before finding Albertsen for another three, cutting the Spartan lead to 33-31.
