It was a game of runs on Tuesday as Carroll knocked off ADM for their fourth straight win. Both teams had big runs, that put them in the lead, lucky for Carroll their run was longer and later in the game and they were able to hold off any runs ADM made the rest of the game.
After ADM went up 5-2 early, Carroll responded behind Evan Hammer and Kaleb Booth and took a 9-5 lead. Booth found Gus Collison and Nick Macke for back-to-back threes and Carroll led 15-8 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Tigers extended the lead to 21-11 as Nick Macke found Caden Kock at the free throw line. Carroll had controlled the action most of the 1st half but things quickly changed. ADM created a few turnovers and got shots to fall on the offense end. They closed the half with a 14-2 run and led 25-23 after a three from Sam Hlas just before the buzzer.
ADM scored to start the 2nd half but Caden Kock found Evan Hammer tying the game at 27. ADM hit back-to-back threes with a Carroll two sliced between then and Carroll was down 33-29. Carroll called a timeout, coming out with more pressure on defense. That led to some turnovers as Nick Macke stole a ball, finding Kaleb Booth streaking down the court. Booth found Caden Kock for the layup, then Booth made a steal and found Make for a bucket and Carroll had taken a 35-33 lead. That was the start of a 19-0 run to end the 3rd and start the 4th quarter and Carroll blew the game open up 48-33. ADM clawed back, fouling late but Carroll knocked down 11-15 free throws and held on to win by 11. The closest ADM pulled down the stretch was eight at 60-52.
Kaleb Booth finished with a team high 22 points along with 5 assists. Ethan Lengeling had an outstanding game with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Nick Macke scored 8 points, Caden Kock had 7 points, 6 rebounds and Evan Hammer added 9 points and 6 rebounds.
The win is the fourth straight for Carroll and improves them to 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers will host Gilbert on Friday as they start the second time through the conference.

Both teams struggled to score early but Ar-We-Va was solid on defense leading to a few more opportunities on the offense end. The Rockets extended their first quarter lead to 11 at half before blowing the game open in the 3rd quarter. Ar-We-Va was able to contain Caden Smith inside, in the 2nd half after the Wildcats did a nice job establishing him in the 1st half. The Rockets held him scoreless in the 2nd half. Glidden Ralston got a similar defensive effort from Emmett Snyder who held Will Ragaller to 3 points in the 2nd half, after Ragaller scored 9 in the 1st half. Snyder also led the Wildcats in scoring.
Will Ragaller finished with a team high 12 points for Ar-We-Va, who had balanced scoring with Braeden Kirsch finishing with 11 points and Emmett Neumann had 10 points. Kirsch and Ragaller each had 4 steals. Kyelar Cleveland added 8 points and Cooper Kock finished with 8 rebounds for Ar-We-Va.
Emmett Snyder paced Glidden Ralston with 10 points, Caden Smith added 6 points and 4 rebounds. Cale Klocke finished with 5 rebounds and John Whitver had 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
The win snaps the Rockets two game losing streak as they improve to 3-8 overall and 2-7 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They head to LoMa on Thursday. The loss is the fifth in a row for Glidden Ralston, dropping them to 2-8 overall and 0-7 in the RVC. The Wildcats host Exira-EHK on Friday.

South Central Calhoun couldn’t quite recover from a slow start as they suffer their first loss of the season in a matchup of undefeated teams. The Titans fell behind by 10 at the end of the 1st quarter and were down 11 at half. They tried to rally in the 4th quarter, pulling within single digits but couldn’t overcome the early deficit.
South Central Calhoun hit 27-41 shots from the field but were only 12 of 38 from three point range. They had three players make three or more threes with Joshua Dietrich and Gavin Batta each with three and Eli Wheelock knocking down five. They only turned the ball over eight times while picking up eleven steals.
Joshua Dietrich had a team high 26 points and 3 blocks. Eli Wheelock added 20 points and 6 assists. Gavin Batta scored 10 points, Joe Clark had 8 rebounds and 4 steals and Tyler Lightner added 8 point and 8 rebounds.
The loss drops South Central Calhoun to 10-1 on the season. they step back into the Twin Lakes Conference on Friday when they host Alta-Aurelia.

Audubon snapped a two game losing streak, pulling away in the 3rd quarter for their fifth win of the season. The Wheelers were in control most of the night leading by 8 after the 1st quarter and 10 at half. Their defense had played well in the 1st half but took over in the 3rd quarter, helping them extend the lead to 17, heading to the final eight minutes.
The offense was balanced with Carson Bauer leading three players in double figures. Carson scored 22 points, with Collin Bauer adding 21 points and 5 rebounds, Jackson Deist gave them a third player in double digits with 21 points and 5 rebounds.
Audubon improves to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the Western Iowa Conference. They will host Tri Center on Friday.

Paton Churdan played their 2nd straight game in as many days after having three games postponed since the holiday break. They traveled to Boyer Valley who came in 8-2, and moved to 9-2 with a good defensive effort. Paton Churdan scored five points in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters while giving up double digits in points in all four quarters. The Rockets were down 19-5 at the end of the 1st quarter and 31-10 at half.
Joe Carey led Paton Churdan with 8 points and 5 rebounds. Bradyn Smith and Shaydon Thurman each had 5 rebounds. Riley Cullum and Justin Stream finished with 2 steals.
Paton Churdan slips to 0-8 overall and 0-5 in the RVC. They host Coon Rapids Bayard on Friday.

IKM-Manning played really well for three quarters but that wasn’t enough as they fell on the road to 9-2 Underwood. The Wolves led 10-9 after the 1st quarter but struggled to in the 2nd quarter and trailed 22-14 at half. They hung tough in the 2nd half cutting the deficit to five in the 4th quarter.
The Wolves shot 31.9% from the field though they shot it well from three going 9-20 with Nolan Ramsey knocking down five and Eli Dreyer making both of his three point attempts. The Wolves had 13 assists on their 15 made baskets.
Nolan Ramsey finished with 17 points and 5 assists. Luke Ramsey added 7 points and 7 rebounds. Eli Dreyer had 6 points.
The Wolves fall to 3-8 overall and 2-8 in the Western Iowa Conference. They host Riverside on Friday.
