Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: SCC Wrestling Sweeps Teams Thursday; Audubon Goes 1-1 In Matches

Wrestling Results for Tuesday, January 11th

Audubon and SE Warren at Mount Ayr

The Audubon Wheelers grabbed some good individual match wins, but had a tough time against Southeast Warren, who they wrestled the majority of their matches against, and got a one point team win against Mount Ayr. The Wheelers went 4-4 against SE Warren in matches wrestled, and while defeating Mount Ayr in their match, went 0-4 against them in matches wrestled.

Cooper Nielsen and Alex Foran went 1-1 on the day with Nielsen winning his match against SE Warren via fall at 0:20 and Foran winning via fall as well at 0:54. Gabe Jensen and Colin Hartl had good days overall, both going 1-0 on the night with Hartl winning via fall at 2:59 and Jensen winning via decision. Jack Stanerson and Lane Barber made up the other two matches wrestled for the Wheelers against Mount Ayr, with both going 0-2 on the day.

South Central Calhoun and Manson NW Webster at Emmetsburg

South Central Calhoun wrestling picked up two good match wins against Manson NW Webster and Emmetsburg on Thursday. The Titans had some tough matches against Manson NW Webster as they went 3-5 against the Cougars in matches wrestled, but had a better time against the E-Hawks, going 7-5 in matches wrestled. South Central Calhoun did get the sweep on both teams, defeating Manson NW Webster 48-30 and Emmetsburg 43-34.

Kevin King, Jayden Soard, and Justin Rohlfing all went undefeated for the Titans, going 2-0 in their matches. King won his matches via fall at 1:41 and major decision. Soard’s wins came via fall at 1:40 and fall at 1:48. Finally, Rohlfing grabbed his wins via fall at 0:52 and fall at 2:18. Blake McAlister, Zachary Trott, and Brock Nattress all went 1-0 in matches wrestled which included McAlister winning via fall at 4:48, Trott winning via fall at 1:28, and Nattress winning via decision. Kolin Folsom went 1-1 on the day with his lone win coming via fall at 4:36.
