Carroll traveled to the Class 3A 8th ranked Bluejays and picked up 3 wins in a tough conference loss. The Tigers went 3-8 in matches wrestled, giving up three forfeits and an injury time loss. Only two of the other seven losses were by fall, one by tech fall. The Tigers did have a 5-4, 3-1 and 12-8 losses.
Carroll won two of their matches by fall, both coming in the 1st period. Sterling Rodman outlasted Aiden Carl for a 11-9 win.
Cooper Ludwig and Jireh Gallegos both won their matches by fall with Ludwig in 1:14 and Gallegos at 1:54.
The Tigers will look to bounce back as they head to the Ogden Dual Tournament on Saturday.

Audubon had some hard fought matches against Riverside and Southwest Valley Thursday, but was unable to bring home the team victory against either team. Griswold was part of this meet as well, but did not wrestle against Audubon. The Wheelers against Riverside had close individual matches, but the Bulldogs pulled away with a 42-36 team win. Southwest Valley gave the Wheelers a little more trouble as they’d defeat Audubon 48-24.
Alex Foran was the lone Wheeler who went 2-0 in his matches on the day, both by fall in less than a minute. Alex Hansen went 2-0 overall on the day, but wrestled in one match and won via fall; his other match ended in a forfeit victory for him. Gabe Jensen went 1-1 on the day defeating Justin Wilson from Riverside via fall at 1:11, but was defeated in his second match via fall. Cooper Nielsen was the other Wheeler to grab a victory on the day, winning his match against Southwest Valley’s Dalton Calkins via fall at 0:39. Nielsen’s other match was a forfeit victory for him.

Coon Rapids Bayard, Bedford/Lenox, I-35 At ACGC
Coon Rapids Bayard went up against some tough opponents Thursday night as they went up against Bedford/Lenox, I35, and ACGC. The Crusaders came up a little short in their matches against ACGC, falling in the later minutes of their matches, fought hard against Bedford/Lenox, and grabbed a win over I35. Jacob Meshek grabbed the lone win for the Crusaders against Wyatt Aschan of I35 via fall at 3:15 and went 1-2 overall in matches wrestled. Meshek had a close match against Bryce Rochholz of ACGC, but ultimately fell at the 3:33 mark of the match. Tyler Mohr and Brayden Reineke both went 0-3 on the day.

Pocahontas Area, SE Valley and GTRA At South Central Calhoun
South Central Calhoun had a good night against GTRA and Pocahontas Thursday, but ran into some trouble against Southeast Valley. As a team, the Titans got past GTRA by a team score of 66-15 and Pocahontas 57-24, but the Jaguars of Southeast Valley were able to pull away with the close 42-37 victory.
Zachary Trott was dominant at 145 where he won two matches via fall and the other via major decision, going 3-0 overall on the day. Blake McAlister was 2-0 in matches wrestled on the day, winning both matches via fall at 4:00 or later. Justin Rohlfing at 113 and 106 was dominant, winning his two matches via fall in a little less than a minute. Kevin King in his matches wrestled at 160 and 170 was able to win via fall and decision, going 2-0. Brock Nattress had a solid day at 132 and 138 pounds, winning via fall in both matches, but losing one via fall as well, to go 2-1 overall on the day. Jayden Soard had two matches won by forfeit, but did wrestle and win a match at 285 via fall. Case Korleski and Riley Timmerman both went 2-1 overall on the day and won a match via forfeit. Kolin Folsom went 1-2 at 126 pounds, winning his match via fall. Finally, Naylan Gulbranson wrestled one match at 160 pounds, winning that match via fall.
