East Sac 39

East Sac rallied from a slow start, cutting OA-BCIG lead to 6 midway through the 3rd quarter but the rally fell short as they fall to 0-4 on the season. The Falcons responded to the Raider run and extended the lead to 17 early in the 4th quarter.

East Sac was slow out of the gate and fell down quickly 12-2, giving up a 12-0 run after scoring the first bucket.  The Falcons pressure was creating issues for East Sac near the half court line, forcing turnovers which led the easy buckets. East Sac kept fighting and Brody Boeckman and Tony Clair giving them a lift off the bench. Boeckman hit a bucket to make it 17-6 and a basket and free throw by Tyler Schmitt trimmed it to 17-9 early in the 2nd quarter. The Raiders have several chances late in the 1st half to cut the deficit to single digits but turned the ball over on four straight possessions. They trailed by 11 at half.

East Sac scored right out of the half, cutting the lead to 9, then Aden Vondrak found Cale Niehaus for the only made three for East Sac and  the Raiders were down 6. OA-BCIG went back to the full court press, creating turnovers, stretching the lead to 45-30 by the end of the 3rd.

Tyler Schmitt was tripled teamed most of the night but found a way to lead the Raiders with 22 points. Luke Wright had 5 points and a team high 5 rebounds.
