Audubon, LoMa, and Woodbine at AHSTW
Audubon grabbed a handful of individual match victories and won one of their dual matches Thursday at AHSTW.
The Wheeler’s closest dual of the meet was against meet host AHSTW. The Wheelers went 5-2 in matches wrestled. The Vikings were able to beat out the Wheelers 48-34. Audubon didn’t find much success against LoMa, where they only were able to grab one win overall. LoMa dominated the dual 78-6. Finally, against Woodbine, a majority of the matches ended in forfeit, but the Wheelers went 1-3 in matches wrestled and still won the dual at 60-30.
Individually, Cooper Nielsen went 3-0 on the day, winning via fall over two of his opponents and one via forfeit. Alex Hansen also had a successful day, going 2-1 on the day with a major decision of 10-2 and via fall at 0:56. Alex Foran and Jack Stanerson all went 2-1 on the day with one of those matches for both athletes won by forfeit. Stanerson won via fall at 3:19 as did Foran at 3:48. Lane Barber picked up a fall victory at 3:39 and went 1-1 overall on the day. Zeke Konkler went 1-1 on the day with his lone victory coming via forfeit.
