Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: SCC and East Sac Compete at Twin Lakes Meet; IKM-Manning Ran at Missouri Valley Saturday

Boys Cross Country Results for Saturday, October 16th

 

IKM-Manning as Missouri Valley

 

IKM-Manning had a solid final performance before the state qualifying meet, finishing fourth in the standings and grabbing four top 25 finishes. 

 

Caden Keller led the Wolves in their final regular season meet with a third place finish in a time of 17:24.68. Lane Sams was able to finish just outside the top 10 with a 13th place finish with a time of 18:38.85. Nathan Johnson and Kasche Huehn rounded out the top 25 finishes for the Wolves. Johnson grabbed a 17th place finish with a time of 19:06.49 while Huehn finished in 25th with a final time of 19:53.71. Josiah Conner finished just outside the top 25 with a 28th place finish with a time of 20:23.86. As a team, IKM-Manning took fourth in the rankings with 86 points. The Wolves look to carry their momentum into their state qualifying meet in Panorama on Thursday, October 21st.

South Central Calhoun and East Sac at Twin Lakes Conference Meet

 

South Central Calhoun and East Sac both had runners finish with new personal records as both teams competed at the Twin Lakes Conference meet on Saturday. 

 

Tristen Blair of South Central Calhoun set a new personal best time at this meet as he finished in 15th with a time of 19:06.67. Blair talked with Carroll Broadcasting following his performance, and he said he enjoyed the hills on this course and believes he’ll need to work on his strides before the state qualifying meet next week. Nathan Burley and Eli Wheelock kept pace with a group of individuals and finished not too far away from each other. Burley finished in 20th with a time of 19:31.16 while Wheelock finished in 24th with a time of 19:55.11. Cater Soyer finished outside the top 25 with a 33rd place finish with a time of 20:47.87. The Titans as a team finished 5th overall in the standings. 

 

For East Sac Parker Engel finished the best among the local male runners at this meet, finishing fifth with a final time of 18:17.91. Blair told Carroll Broadcasting that he set a new personal record with his performance, but he wasn’t a fan of the hills and the colder weather that day. Isaiah Aragon kept pace with a group of runners, finishing in 31st with a final time of 20:27.60. Jaxson Cromwell and Ethan Peters kept up with each other throughout the course, finishing 50th and 53rd respectively. The Raiders took ninth place overall as a team at the meet. 

 

South Central Calhoun and East Sac will travel to Southeast Valley for their state qualifying meet on Thursday, October 21st.
