Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper Boys Cross Country Compete at Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet; Audubon at Mount Ayr Thursday

Boys Cross Country Results for Thursday, October 14th

Kuemper at Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet

Kuemper had a successful day at the Hawkeye 10 conference meet Thursday, taking home a top three team finish along with three top 25 individual finishes. 

Michael Pottebaum kept his pace well throughout the course at Glenwood, leading his team with a third place finish with a final time of 16:31.03. Jacob Greving was a few paces behind Pottebaum and finished just outside the top ten with an 11th place finish with a time of 17:08.83. The Knights final top 25 finisher was Ryan North who ran well throughout the day and finished in 21st place with a final time of 17:49.80. One other Kuemper runner that helped the Knights to a third place team standings was Patrick Hensel who captured a 31st place finish with a final time of 18:09.02. 

Kuemper will try to continue their momentum into the qualifying cross country meet at Winterset on Wednesday, October 20st.

Audubon at Mount Ayr

Audubon competed in one final meet before their state qualifying meet next week as they traveled to Mount Ayr Thursday. Audubon had some strong performances, but were unable to be given a team score due to running four runners, one less than the required five to have a team score. Jackson Deist led his group of guys as he captured a 20th place finish with a time of 19:23.03. Ely Deist kept his times close to his prior outing at IKM-Manning as he finished this course with a time of 22:13.19. Mason Steckler wasn’t too far away from Ely Deist as he finished with a time of 22:56.65. The Wheelers get prepared this week for their state qualifying meet on Thursday, October 21st in Panorama.
