Girls Swimming Results for Thursday, October 7th
Carroll at Fort Dodge
The Carroll Tigers continue their dominance this season as the Tigers won the head-to-head against Fort Dodge and Spencer, captured six individual event wins and won all of the relay events at Thursday’s meet in Fort Dodge.
Jenna Currier was once again a strong competitor for Carroll, conquering two individual events and was part of two winning relay teams. Currier won the 100 back with a time of 1:02.43 and the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.17. In her relay events, Currier won the 200 free relay along with teammates Amelia Holt, Hailey Burns, and Ellie Beagle, finishing with a time of 1:45.70 and the 400 free relay, along with Ellie and Ashley Beagle and Emma Myers, finishing with a time of 3:52.80.
Myers was also able to win two individual events of her own. She won the 200 IM with a winning time of 2:23.61 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10.80. Ellie Beagle performed well in her two individual events, winning the 500 free with a winning time of 5:44.22 and finished in second place in the 200 free with a final time of 2:07.83. Holt took home the sixth and final top three finish for the Tigers, where she won the 50 free with a time of 26.54. The Tigers as a team defeated Spencer 96-66 and Fort Dodge 91-71.
Carroll’s season continues as they travel to Johnston on Saturday, October 9th.
