Girls Swimming Results for Tuesday, October 5th
Carroll at Boone
Carroll was impressive yet again Tuesday night in Boone as they conquered six individual and three relay events.
South Dakota State swim commit Jenna Currier was dominant in all of her events, winning two individual events and was part of two relays. Currier won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.62 and the 50 free with a time of 24.90. She was also part of the 200 free relay team, along with Ellie Beagle, Hailey Burns, and Amelia Holt, that won with a time of 1:46.31, and the 400 free relay team, with Ellie and Ashley Beagle and Emma Myers, that won with a time of 3:54.07. Burns, Myers and Holt were also part of the winning 200 medley relay team, along with Sophia Polking, who won the event with a time of 1:58.83.
Myers did well individually at the Boone meet, completing two individual events with wins. She won the 200 free with a time of 2:07.50 and the 100 back with a time of 1:05.84. On top of her participation in the 400 free relay, Ellie Beagle also grabbed an individual event win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.68. Ashley Beagle and Holt impressed as well at this event, grabbing second place finishes. Holt got second place in the 100 free with a time of 59.13 and Beagle in the 500 free event finished in second place with a time of 6:09.49. The Tigers took home the team victory with a point total of 100 over Boone’s 83.
Carroll will be on the road once again on Thursday, October 7th where they will travel to Fort Dodge.
